Itinerary

Day 1 - Flight to Pafos - Romium's Stone - Limassol

Meeting at Macedonia airport at 09:30 and boarding the plane to Paphos. Arrival and we will make a stop at the port with the castle to enjoy lunch or coffee in one of the many restaurants. Then we will depart for Limassol. On our route we will stop at “Petra tou Romiou”, which is the very birthplace of Aphrodite. Here Venus is said to have risen from the waves and gone to the shore. Of course this is one of the many more legends surrounding this spot that we will discover. Take a photo in the unique landscape and after a while we will arrive in impressive Limassol. Check in at our hotel and free time in the city.

Day 2 - Day trip at Nicosia - Lefkara

After our rich breakfast, we start our day going to the heart of Cyprus and the capital Nicosia. Among the sites we will see the Archbishop’s palace and the cathedral of Agios Ioannis housed in its premises. Both of these buildings are beacons for Cypriots and the Christian religion. Then we will go to the old town, a special part of Nicosia, called Laiki Geitonia. Here you can see the character of the older days of Cyprus beautifully preserved and among them discover many shops selling traditional items and handicrafts. Of course you can visit the Leventio Municipal Museum to delve into its history. Next is Ledras Street, a cultural melting pot filled to the brim with shops and restaurants of different nationalities. This is a perfect place to experience first hand many different cultures at once. Free time for lunch and then we will visit the village of Lefkara. Here we will learn all about the world famous Lefkaritic textiles and see first hand how they are woven. It is worth noting that these intricately designed patterns are considered a cultural treasure by Unesco. Of course while exploring the village we will see various other handicrafts made of silver in the museum of Embroidery and Silversmithing and learn all about the rich history of this beautiful village and find out what drew Leonardo Da Vinci to visit and left him amazed. In the afternoon return to our hotel.

Day 3 - Day trip to mount Troodos

After our rich breakfast, we will depart for the thousand-sung Platres. A beautiful village full of nature and points of interest. From its mosaics to nature trails and churches, there are many points of interest. After exploring and learning about its rich history, we will arrive at Troodos. En route to Troodos we will follow the scenic route, seeing many villages and landscapes, finally arriving at the village of the same name.. We will explore the picturesque square and take a short break, with the opportunity to visit the various souvenir shops. Our last stop is the picturesque and delightful Omodos. The wonderful smells from the bakeries will be our first greeting. The well-maintained streets and rustic houses make up the unique aesthetics that can only be found in Cyprus. While here we will see how all the treats we encountered upon arrival are made. Of course since we are in one of the best wine villages it makes sense to visit a local winery. While there we can taste the various wine products and snacks prepared for us using the ways of the past. We will visit the numerous souvenir shops and of course the church of the Holy Cross which is housed in the heart of the village. In the afternoon return to our hotel. In the evening we will watch the Resurrection and we will have the opportunity to scramble eggs and have dinner with traditional dishes.

Day 4 - Free day - Easter Feast

After our breakfast, the day is free in the city of Limassol. Before noon we have organized a rich Easter feast with traditional dances and music. Fine appetizers and traditional roasts will not be missing from the table. Afternoon free at your disposal.

Day 5 - Optional Excursion at Larnaca - Choirokoitia - Haloumi cheese factory

Breakfast and for today we suggest you visit the sweet and welcoming village of Choirokoitia. The village is located in a Unesco protected archaeological site, and is a village of world cultural importance. Once we reach the village we will head to a unique traditional arts and crafts house. There a local teacher will be able to demonstrate the amazing art of basket weaving and the most amazing halloumi cheese making demonstration. You can discover the artistic culture of Cyprus and try one of our most delicious snacks before we depart for Larnaca. A quick stop before going to the bustling center, is Aliki. Truly a sight to behold, this vast area spanning more than 2 kilometers is home to many and impressive species of fauna. Then we will visit the Church of Saint Lazarus, named after Lazarus who was resurrected by Jesus. Later, after a short journey we will reach the heart and soul of Larnaca, Finikoudes. Named after the palm trees that can be seen everywhere, you can explore its charming streets and see first hand why it is so popular while walking along the coastline. In the afternoon return to Limassol.

Day 6 - Limassol - Ancient Theater Kourio - Paphos - Return flight

Breakfast and departure for the Archaeological Site of Curio. With beautifully preserved mosaics and a stunning view of the valley below it is a must see for those who want to know what Cyprus is all about. Of course we will see the theater where to this day many concerts and plays are held as since ancient times. Then we will visit the main hub of history and origin of the legends of Cyprus, Paphos. Once we arrive in Paphos we will head straight to Paphos port. The city is a truly amazing mix of sites and monuments that a traveler to Cyprus must see. Some of the attractions are: the Castle, the ancient Conservatory, another Unesco site. Among others it includes the House of Dionysus with its amazing mosaics, and of course St. Paul’s Column, the ancient Tombs of the Kings. This Necropolis, or City of the Dead is considered a Unesco cultural site. Since we are in central Paphos, there will be plenty of free time to explore. You can visit the quaint shops hidden in the alleys and have lunch or a drink in one of the many restaurants. As our flight is late at night, we will have one last surprise, a visit to Geroskipou village. One of the most famous villages in Cyprus and the place to find our world famous Loukoumi or Cypriot Loukoumi. After having these delicious snacks, we will be transferred to the city airport for our return flight.
