Itinerary

Day 1 - Thessaloniki

Thessaloniki is Greece’s second-largest city with a glorious byzantine past. Explore the city’s vibrant atmosphere, visit the White Tower, and stroll along the waterfront promenade. Enjoy dinner at a traditional taverna, tasting local specialties.

Day 2 - Thessaloniki - Skopje - Sofia

We start our journey to Balkans, with a short stop in Skopje, for a panoramic tour, the old railway station, the monument of Mother Teresa and her house, the famous Stone Bridge and the fortress Kale. We continue to beautiful Sofia! In the capital of Bulgaria we will visit all major attractions, such as the ancient Roman ruins of Serdika, the St. George Rotunda, one of Europe’s oldest fully-preserved churches dating back to the 4th century AD. Get a taste of Sophia’s famed embrace of religious diversity, by visiting the Mosque, the Synagogue, and St. Nedelya. We close that day with dinner and a much needed rest.

Day 3 - Sofia - Belgrade

We start the day with a walk down the halls of the former Royal Palace, which nowadays serves as an ethnographic museum. Next capital, Belgrade! This beautiful city is built by Savas River and we wil visit all main sights, to catch an impression of Belgrade’s culture, people, atmosphere and also cuisine. Dinner and overnight in Belgrade.

Day 4 - Belgrade - Sarajevo

The day begins with a walk to the main cultural and architectural sights of Belgrade, some of the most memorable attractions in Balkan: Kalemegdan Fortress, Slavija square and the great Belgrade Palace. After lunch we depart for Sarajevo, which joins together different religions and cultures, and which hardly survived the difficult years of war. Overnight in Sarajevo.

Day 5 - Sarajevo - Mostar - Dubrovnik

The Jewish quarter, the old part of Bascarsija, the war tunnel and many other sights, are all part of the morning tour. During the day you’ll have the possibility to see the real culture of Sarajevo in Cevapdzinica, Bosnian typical bistro. Lunch and we head for Dubrovnik, Croatia. We will also pass through Mostar and explore the beauties of the city, which was devastated by the war but the reconstruction brought the city back to life. We will admire the breath-taking bridge over Neretva, which collapsed during the war but was later rebuild, the Old Bazaar, the Turkish House and many fascinating mosques. After visiting Mostar we will travel to Dubrovnik where we will arrive late in the evening. Overnight in the hotel in Dubrovnik or in the nearby Trebinje.

Day 6 - Dubrovnik - Kotor - Budva

We will enjoy Dubrovnik and take a walk in the ancient city, full of architectural and cultural masterpieces and surrounded by a magnificent wall and fortresses. After lunch we will visit an impressive small medieval city Kotor in Montenegro, known for its beautiful Venetian historical Old town, harbour and cultural monuments. Late in the evening we will move to Budva for dinner and overnight.

Day 7 - Budva - Tiranna

A tour in one of the oldest cities of the Adriatic, with charming 16. ct. Center, and marina for megayachts. A top destination for younger travelers for the fun it offers. After lunch we will move to another country. Albania’s capital, Tiranna. We will explore the capital and walk to the historical center for sightseeing, including the Skanderbeg Statue, Et’hem bey mosque, clock tower, Italian buildings, painted with vibrant colors and the expansion of the city.

Day 8 - Tiranna - Ohrid - Thessaloniki

Next stop Ohrid, in Northern Macedonia. We will have a tour which will include ancient churches of St. Sophia and St. Pantelejmon – Plaosnik, Old Bazaar, esokastro Settlement, King Samoil Fortress and we will end our tour by the Struga lake which is the deepest lake in the Balkans. The trip will end in the beloved Thessaloniki for a farewell dinner and drinks in its unique nightlife!
