On the way we will cross the Belgian south, through the plain with the green areas, the picturesque villages and the majestic castles. Our route in Wallonia will lead to one of the most beautiful cities, Dinant, birthplace of Sax (saxophone), where we will have time for a coffee and a walk on the river Lesse. Continuing our journey towards Luxembourg, we will be captivated by the changing natural landscapes of south-eastern Belgium. Arriving, we will face the city that is largely built in a ravine and today is one of the decision-making centers, hosting a multitude of European organizations and banking institutions. Among other things, we will see the Cathedral of Our Lady, the impressive Red Bridge with its wonderful view, the wonderful building of the Philharmonic and the central square “of arms” – Place d’Armes. Return in the afternoon to Brussels. In the evening, with the guidance of our escort, you can watch the Resurrection service in an Orthodox church.

Easter Sunday today, and you can make the most of your day in Brussels however you wish. But if you think there are no other beautiful places in these areas join us on an optional wonderful excursion starting from Ghent. We will visit the center of the city, where we will see the town hall, the Governor’s Office, the church of Ag. Nikolaou, the cathedral of Agios Boniface and we will get to know the city which was during the Middle Ages a great commercial port of Europe. We continue to the famous Bruges, one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. A city where time seems to have stopped in the Middle Ages! Among others, the park with the “Lake of Love”, the oldest hospital in Europe of St. John, the Church of the Virgin Mary, the much-photographed bridge of St. Boniface, the command post, and the historic center, a unique jewel of medieval architecture. Return in the afternoon to Brussels.

Day 5 - Brussels - The Hague - Delft - Amsterdam - By Night

We have a good breakfast at the hotel and leave beautiful Brussels and head to the cosmopolitan Hague, the third largest city in the Netherlands, seat of the Dutch government, Parliament, the country’s Supreme Court, many United Nations institutes and the International Court of Justice. Because of all the international institutes and embassies, The Hague is a multicultural society and foreigners living in the city are mainly there for work and not for fun, like in Amsterdam. For this reason it has the reputation of a strict city, something with which of course the thousands of students who are there disagree.. You will see buildings of traditional Dutch architecture, cathedrals, parks and a beach that during the summer is flooded with people. The buildings of unique value that house Ministries and Embassies make up the most elegant Dutch city. Three main squares and a network of sidewalks characterize the center.

We will then visit medieval Delft, the first capital of the Dutch state, a historic city with a beautiful historic center, spacious squares and majestic royal churches. Delft was the first capital of the Dutch state, a city with a beautiful historic center and majestic royal churches. Delft was also the birthplace of the famous Dutch painter Johannes Vermeer. We will start our tour with the old church (Oude Kerk), 75 meters high, which is accessed by a beautiful bridge over the city’s many canals. Then we will visit the Oostpoort which was one of the original eight gates of the city which remains to this day. The landscape at Oostpoort is magical giving you the opportunity to take great photos. Later we will walk along some of the city’s beautiful canals arriving at the Markt Square with the fantastic Delft Town Hall with its unique red windows. We continue to our final destination today, the city of canals, Amsterdam. We will settle down and take a first walk around the city center. We will walk through the historic center meeting Waterlooplein, we will see Rembrandt Square, the flower market, Rokin and the central Dam Square. Immediately afterwards you can continue your fun in the traditional Dutch pubs or restaurants in the area.

Day 6 - Amsterdam - City Tour - Coster Diamonds – Vollendam - Marken

After breakfast we depart for a day dedicated to the famous capital. A special city, both eternally romantic and modern. The city creates the image of a huge open-air museum, the multitude of canals, with the multiculturalism of its inhabitants, make it one of the best-known metropolises of Europe. We will tour the center of the city, which is bounded by three main semi-circular canals (and countless other perimeter ones), joined together by more than 1000! small and larger bridges, to see among others the imposing ‘Rijksmuseum’, the towering ‘West Church’, the unique ‘King’s Palace’ in the central Dam Square, the ‘floating’ Central Station, along with many more elements of a city that ‘floats’ in the sea. We will cross the historic center through Waterlooplein, Rembrandt Square, the flower market, Rokin and the central Dam Square. In Museum Square we will visit the largest diamond factory in the city, the COSTER DIAMONDS house, where we will learn about the diamond processing process, from the initial to the final stage, while afterwards we can see historical ‘pieces’ and an abundance of diamonds through the huge jewelry collection of the house. From here, we suggest you continue with a wonderful cruise on the city’s canals, to enjoy the architecture and breathtaking views of the city’s famous landmarks. See the 17th-century buildings that line the famous canals, as well as stylish new buildings that bring us into 21st-century Amsterdam. Pass the Hermitage Museum, then glide past the Skinny Bridge, the elegant Amstel Hotel and the charming neighborhood of Grachtengordel. In the afternoon we suggest a charming optional excursion to the picturesque fishing villages of Volendam and Marken. First, this small town on the Ijsselmeer (Ijsselmeer) still retains the authentic atmosphere of a fishing village. Here you can still meet residents in traditional costumes, narrow bodices, lace hats with feathers and aprons for the women, wide trousers and woolen blouses for the men and the characteristic wooden houses painted naturally in white and green shades. We will find the same in Marken, which is located on an island, a village surrounded by nature, wooden houses with very special architecture, with different unique colors and well-kept gardens. Return to Amsterdam.

Day 7 - Amsterdam - Free Day - Return Flight

Breakfast and we will dedicate our last day to the coolest and “free” capital of Europe. We recommend that you take a long walk to the famous Albert Cuyp market, one of the largest open-air markets in all of Europe. With over 260 stalls overflowing with everything you can think of, from fruit and vegetables to fresh fish, clothing and gorgeous, colorful tulips at super low prices (the hallmark of Amsterdam), here you’ll enjoy an authentic, Dutch wandering among local flavors and aromas. Lose yourself in the huge variety of local cheeses, buy amazing quality leather accessories and try the perfect street food with the amazing pancakes accompanied by various tasty toppings truly being the ultimate dessert. After enjoying the city walk we will then depart for the airport for the return flight.
